Given the state of the market, with the normalization of layoffs and the amount of talent seemingly struggling to secure roles, I knew this would be a challenge ahead of me–how would I possibly pick just one of the hundreds of qualified candidates who applied? Once upon a time I even advocated for designers not to apply to a role if there and already been hundreds of applicants because surely the competition would be too steep...
